The Asteroid belt lies between 329 and 479 million km from the Sun.
It is a huge diffuse belt of rocky material left over from the formation of the solar system. There are millions of large rocks. The largest is Ceres, which is one thousand km in diameter and is now classified as a dwarf planet (as is Pluto).
It lies between light poles 8 and 12. The sign is at pole 10. The next object is Jupiter 10 light poles away at pole 20.
